Pictures from spring and early summer 2002.

Shane on the way up Mt. Jefferson.

Note the beautiful weather we will be climbing into.

Paul at trail junction near the summit of Jefferson.
This is the weather we enjoyed on the summit, note the breath taking views. Somedays it's the horizon other days it's 50 feet.
Shane bouldering on Jefferson.
The weather improved quite a bit on the way down so we stopped for lunch and played around a bit.
View from Mt. Galehead.
There is a fantastic drop off to the valley floor to the left of where this picture is taken, unfortunately the carmera doesn't do it any justice so this is the better view.
View from South Twin.
This day turned out so nice that we expanded our hike from just Mt. Galehead to include both of the twin mountains.
Break in the clouds.
View towards Mt. Flume from Mt. Liberty. Most of the day we were in those clouds.
Shane summiting Mt. Garfield.
Shane would be in wind gear moments after this picture was taken. It may have been sunny but on the summit it was very cold and windy.
Paul's self portrait on Mt. Garfield.
In the photo above Shane is in a t-shirt, in this picture you may note that while I wait for Shane to summit I have had to put on a fleece vest and shell. Winds were in the 50-60 mph range and the temps in the low 20's. A beautiful late April day. Check out that rime ice.
Summit of Mt. Flume.
Paul playing on the rocks.
Chow time.
Freeze dried bacon and eggs anyone?

Shane on Mt. Isolation.
